Data retention

How long audio, transcripts and related records are kept, and what is not stored.

Session storage and the retention controls described here are not yet available, and today no audio or transcript is stored at all.

Playground

Playground: storage ON by default, retained 24 hours, then deleted automatically.

API

API: storage OFF by default, opt-in per project. When enabled, audio and transcripts are retained 7 days, then deleted automatically.

Usage records

Usage records survive content deletion. They hold an account identifier, a project identifier and a number of audio-seconds — no audio and no transcript text — and are kept for billing.

What is not stored

Voice and biometric enrollment data are not stored.

Customer audio and transcripts are never used to train models.
